As a guy who works in the life settlements industry, I am constantly amazed at how much flak the business gets. Life settlements really do help people. It gives them a 3rd option behind turning in their policy for pennies on the dollar or allowing it to lapse for nothing. Frankly selling a policy for more in a life settlement seems like a good idea to me when compared to the alternatives. Nonetheless, the media, politicians and insurance carriers continue to bash life settlements. The carriers for obvious reasons. So this blog is going to be an outlet for me to rant about life settlements and hopefully educate a bit about them too.
